Do You Qualify?
Most North Carolina residents are surprised to find they qualify. Here's what the programs generally require:
North Carolina Resident
Currently living in North Carolina as your primary residence.
Primary Residence
The home must be where you primarily live — not a vacation or investment property.
Homeowner or Renter
Both homeowners and renters may qualify. Renters need landlord approval for certain upgrades.
Income Within Guidelines
HOMES is open at all income levels. HEAR requires household income under 150% of Area Median Income.
